RUF
Reformed University Fellowship at the University of Iowa. Reaching students for Christ and equipping them to serve.
What is RUF?
RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) is the campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). RUF seeks to reach students for Christ and equip them to serve. RUF is on over 200 campuses nationally, and even a few campuses internationally. RUF is a place where the convinced and the skeptical can hear the message of Jesus, ask good questions, and find good friends.
RUF is a joint effort of the churches in the Iowa Presbytery. The funding comes from churches in the presbytery, individuals, and other fundraising by the campus minister.

Meet Campus Minister Nick DeVusser
Nick grew up in Johnson City, TN, where he met his wife, Sarah. He studied Exercise Science at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. After doing the RUF Internship at Queens University of Charlotte for 4 years, he was the RUF Campus Associate at Johnson and Wales University. Nick received his Master's in Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte. He is super excited to be at Iowa and hang with students (Go Hawks!). Sarah is a Registered Nurse who currently teaches Nursing classes at a local community college.
In June 2024, Nick and Sarah had their first baby, Miles. He's the coolest baby ever and loves to hang out and laugh with people.
If he's not working out, reading whatever is interesting to him at the moment, spending time with his wife and son, or playing with his dog, he is probably watching football or rewatching The Office for the 900th time. He's always down to get coffee, throw football, play golf (or disc golf!), or just hang out.
