STORY
On March 1, 2019, we started living out this vision by purchasing our own building! Our move to the church building on 500 N. Clinton Street in downtown Iowa City will enable us to expand our ministry to the city, the university, and the marginalized while forging partnerships with community organizations. Currently, a non-profit organization supporting the formerly incarcerated as they re-establish themselves in society is renting space within the church building. We are excited about continuing to pursue the flourishing of our neighbors through these and other relationships in the Iowa City community.
After the building was put up for sale in July 2018, God has been faithful to provide every step of the way, clearing away barrier after barrier to accomplish a purchase that none of us believed possible a few months ago. God has continued to provide through pledges from within the congregation and others who want to partner with us in our move to this new building, including a donor who has generously offered to match all gifts up to $50,000 given by December 31, 2019!
